Photo Capture Instructions

Step-by-step guide for capturing in Photo mode

Navigate to Floorplan


Open the GoCapture app

Log in with your Multivista account or tap Continue with SSO.

Select a project

Choose a project to open its floorplan dashboard.

Select a floorplan

Choose the floorplan for this capture session.

Capture Photo


Tap "Capture"

Tap Capture to see the available capture modes.

Tap "Photo"

Tap Photo to select the capture mode.

Set your capture location

Place yourself on the floorplan.

  1. Tap and drag the crosshair to your exact position on the floorplan.

  2. Pinch the floorplan to zoom in or out, or use the magnifying glass icon.

  3. Tap Set Location when done.

⚠️ Use any visible reference point; doors, rooms, or windows to pinpoint your position accurately.

Allow access to your device's camera

If you just installed or reinstalled the GoCapture app, a prompt will ask for permission to access your camera.

Tap Allow to continue.

Point and shoot

Your device camera will open.

Point it at the area you want to capture, then take the photo.

Tap Retake if you want to try again.

Tap Use Photo if you're happy with the result.

Allow GoCapture to use your location

If you just installed or reinstalled the app, a prompt will ask for permission to use your location.

Tap Allow While Using App to continue.

📝 Once captured, a green marker will appear on the floorplan using the photo taken with your device camera.

View your capture

Tap the close button to return to the floorplan and view your photo from the green marker.

📝 Photo quality depends on your device camera's specs.

Upload and review photo (Optional)


Upload

Photos upload automatically while the app is open and connected to the internet.

Review photo

Once a photo is captured, a green marker will appear on the floorplan.

  • Tap a marker to view photo thumbnails, arranged from latest to earliest.

  • Tap a photo to open it in the 360 viewer. From there, you can delete it if needed.

⚠️ Deleted photos are removed from the marker permanently and cannot be undone.
