Camera Activation
Before using your 360 camera with GoCapture, you must activate the camera through the Insta360 app. This process is quick and should take less than 5 minutes.
Watch the step-by-step activation guide in the video below. These instructions are applicable to Insta360 X3, X4, and X5 models.
Camera Settings
Auto Power Off
To optimize your camera for use with GoCapture, it’s important to adjust the Auto Power Off setting. This prevents the camera from unintentionally disconnecting during a capture session.
Set Auto Power Off to 15 Minutes:
Turn on the Insta360 camera
Swipe down to open the Shortcut menu
Tap the gear icon to open the Settings
Scroll down to open Auto Power Off
Select 15min or Never
Tap the back arrow (<) to return to Settings
Tap the back arrow (<) to return to the Shortcut menu
Swipe up to close the Shortcut menu
Wi-Fi Always On
To optimize your camera for use with GoCapture, it’s important to adjust the Wi-Fi Settings. This ensures it is always easy to connect to the camera.
Set Wi-Fi Settings to Always On:
Turn on the Insta360 camera
Swipe down to open the Shortcut menu
Tap the gear icon to open the Settings
Scroll down to open Wi-Fi Settings
Set Wi-Fi Mode to Always On
Tap the back arrow (<) to return to Settings
Tap the back arrow (<) to return to the Shortcut menu
Swipe up to close the Shortcut menu
Update Firmware
Download the Insta360 app.
Open the Insta360 app.
Connect X5 to the Insta360 app.
The app will notify you if a new firmware update is available. Follow the on-screen instructions to update the firmware.
Quit the Insta360 app before using GoCapture
