Below is an evolving list of troubleshooting advice for potential camera setting issues:

Photos are in black and white in the GoCapture application

There is a combination of two settings on the camera that result in a black and white image that our app does not know how to process. These settings are PureShot and 72MP resolution. The Insta360 app can process these photos so that is why they will look fine in their app.

Either turning PureShot off or setting the camera resolution to 18MP should resolve the issue.

To turn PureShot off:

  • Swipe left from the right edge of the touch screen on the camera to set parameters

  • Swipe the bottom row from left to right until it says PureShot

  • Swipe the second row from the bottom to set the camera to INSP mode

In addition to turning PureShot off, it is recommended to shoot photos in 18MP mode.
